DSP QUATTRO VS SONORIS FOR MAC OS
I think if I was a mastering engineer I would pay the extra and buy the Sonoris.īut as an occasional DDP creator, Im sure the HOFA wil be fine for me. See pictures of the studio, check out the gear list, and watch videos about equipment and techniques. Stefano Daino has announced the release of version 5.0.9 of DSP-Quattro, the Audio Editor, Plug-in Host, AudioCD/DDP Mastering application for Mac OS X. I also found HOFA customer service very responsive to a technical question I asked them. I felt that the Sonoris was a more professional piece of software with a better GUI and more intuitive to use, but that as the HOFA was so much cheaper, I went with it. Had a license for the Hofa Player Maker on a USB thumb drive that was destroyed by running it through the washing machine.Ī quick email and explanation to Hofa and their response was within minutes and they had posted a new license download at their plugins manager site with no questions asked. It will replace my good old wavelab even for CD sequence and everything. HOFA user here and happy I used Sonoris few times but I like HOFA a lot more.

There are other apps that work fine for it for sure but a quick search on the web shows that these two apps are probably the most stable and fail proof right now. Ive seen then issue a bug fix within a day or so, and they have implemented some of my suggestions to HOFA DDP Player Maker. (all DDP flavores), Sequoia, Sonoris, DSP Quattro, and Wave Editor and others. Looks like Sonoris and Hofa are the front runners. Audio File Editing, Audio CD-ROM Mastering, Plug-in Hosting, Batch Processing. Create, inspect, verify and convert DDP 2.00 masters for Red Book CD audio. Thus Im guessing their DDP assembly software is just as good. Havent tried Hofa, but I use their DDP player maker everyday and its the most stable bug free mastering software Ive ever used. Ive done hundreds of DDPs with Sonoris and it works great. I think our 2 moderators also use similar Mac DAW tools.
DSP QUATTRO VS SONORIS PRO
I personally use Sonoris cos i have it since ages, but for the price range Hofa is the best, and i dont think theres any differents compared to Sonoris.Īlso Hofa can be used as a plug inside a DAW, thats very good Dont suggest using DSP-Quattro cos is making alot of text errors, which will make the Plant calling you back. It’s 2019 and I’m still using Sonic soundBlade HD 2, and Pro Tools HD, and Sonoris DDP Creator, alternately DSP Quattro. That was a sad story DSP Q seems just weird to me, hard to learn its puculiarities, and Sonoris is simple and makes great sense in its user interface. Im aware of DSP Quattro and HOFA CD-Burn DDP.also aware of Sonic Studio Soundblade (but that seems very pricey). Hi, Im in a position where I need to make a DDP to send to a pressing plant.
